GLSS-Great Lakes Super Sprints

DANNY SAMS III SECURES BIG WIN AT THE BRUG

Lawrenceburg, IN - Danny Sams III, a native of North Port, FL, clinched his first victory of the season with the Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro & ARP. It was an exhilarating night on the track, especially with the Great Lakes Super Sprints making their debut at Lawrenceburg, attracting a field of 28 cars on Miami Paint & Equipment Night!

A huge shoutout goes to the track crew for battling the wind all day to ensure optimal track conditions. Despite facing a delay due to excessive moisture on the back stretch, teamwork prevailed as sprint cars and modifies joined forces to pack the track. Thanks to their efforts, we enjoyed a fantastic racing surface that held up all night.

As the evening progressed, the track only got faster, setting the stage for an intense qualifying session. Kasey Jedrzejek was able set set quick time presented by Ti-22 Performance with a time of 13.371. Heat Race 1 presented by Engler Machine and Tool was brought home by Devon Dobie (Wapakoneta, OH). Heat Race 2 presented by Howard Johnson of Lima goes home with Brad Lamberson (Parma, MI). Heat Race 3 was brought home by Max Stambaugh (Elida, OH).

Despite challenges during the heat races, including Jared Horstman's engine trouble, resilience prevailed as he hopped into Luke Griffith's car and secured a spot in the A-main from the back of the B-main. Randy Hannagan put on a stellar performance to win the B-Feature presented by Perfit!

Heading into the A-Main, the redraw saw Jedrzejek on the pole, followed by Lamberson, Dobie, and Sams III. Max Stambaugh and Jac Nickles rounded out the top six. The feature race was a thrilling battle, with Jedrzejek, Sams III, Stambaugh, and Hannagan showcasing their skills. Phil Gressman (Fremont, OH) and Hannagan made impressive gains, advancing a total of 15 positions. In the end, it was a monumental victory for Danny Sams III, marking an unforgettable moment in his racing career.
